Does my HOA have to approve a tree removal?
In Verano, Riverland, Tesoro and most southwest communities, yes — usually with an arborist's letter. We prepare it with the estimate.
The builder left two pines ten feet from the house — problem?
Usually. Pines left alone after their neighbors are cleared lose their wind protection and lean or fail within a few years. We remove the ones within striking distance of the roof.
Why prune a young oak that looks fine?
Because structural pruning now — one leader, well-spaced limbs — is what turns a builder oak into a strong tree that never needs cabling. It's cheap at five years and expensive at twenty-five.
Do I need a city permit?
Most single-family yard trees in Port St. Lucie don't; specimen-size trees and easements can. We check and tell you honestly.
Do you trim palms so they look full, not hurricane-cut?
Yes — we remove dead fronds, seed pods and boots and leave the green. Over-trimming weakens the palm and looks worse in a month.
