How soon can you get onto the island after a hurricane?
As soon as A1A and the causeways reopen and winds drop below about 35 mph. Buildings with trees on structures are first; contracted condos and HOAs move to the front of the line, and we stage debris for the county haulers.
Why do my island live oaks lean so hard to the west?
Constant salt wind off the ocean shapes coastal live oaks away from the water and scorches the windward leaves. It's normal and the tree is healthy — we prune the dead and shape it, and never cut into the living wind-formed side.
Do the oceanfront condos need special paperwork?
Yes — the associations govern tree work in common areas and want an arborist assessment, scope and certificate of insurance. We prepare all of it and coordinate with the property manager.
Can you remove a big tree between an oceanfront building and the pool?
