The Torino section and The Cascades — the established neighborhoods along Torino Parkway, Cashmere and California, west of I-95 and south of St. Lucie West — have some of Port St. Lucie's roomier lots, and the trees have had time to get big. There are mature live and laurel oaks over houses, slash pines that lean after a wet summer, and plenty of sabal and queen palms. The Cascades, a gated 55+ community, has its own association standards and a lot of residents who want the work done quietly and on time. Do you work in The Cascades 55+ community?
Yes — we do a lot of work there. The association has standards for removals and larger pruning; we handle the approval and schedule the work quietly around residents, with the insurance the board requires.
The lots here are bigger — does that change the price?
Bigger lots often mean bigger, older trees, which is what drives price — a 65-foot laurel oak costs more than a 30-foot one anywhere. But more room also means easier access for equipment, which can bring it back down. We price the tree and the access, not the ZIP code.
My slash pines lean more every year — is that dangerous?
It can be. Slash pines in our sandy soil lift their root plates over time, especially after a wet season, and a leaning pine over the house is a classic Treasure Coast storm failure. We'll assess the lean and the roots and tell you whether it's watch-it or remove-it.
Can you take a big oak out without tearing up my lawn?
We rig or crane it down in controlled pieces, pad or mat the equipment paths, and rake and blow when we're done. Some rutting is possible in soft soil after rain, but we plan the access to keep it minimal.
